Kanosky’s research has focused on how military facilities and prisons impact communities they are sited. She teaches courses on American Character and Images of Crime and Violence in American Culture. She was previously a postdoctoral fellow for the Mellon Digital Humanities Initiative at Lehigh University and also worked as a research assistant on Prof. Jacobson’s “Historian’s Eye” project.
