The turn to archival research in French literary studies; theoretical and personal essays on the archive (Derrida, Davis, Farge, Coeuré); and fiction that includes archival digging as part of a larger investment in memory. We are interested in archival research both as a writer’s practice and as a critic’s scholarly activity. The focus this year is on Occupied France. Includes practical work with newspapers and archives, both paper and digital.
