Introduction to Public Humanities
This introductory course introduces students to contemporary issues in public humanities (broadly defined). In addition to assigned readings, students will have the opportunity to interact with practitioners in the field.
Methods and Theory
Students will be able to select from pre-approved courses offered across the university that include topical specializations such as memory, documentary film studies, ethnography, material culture, architecture, performance, art history, public history, etc.
In addition to course work, public humanities students will be required to complete an internship with one of our partnered affiliates (to be approved by the DGS) for practical experience in the field.
