Currently the Wellcome Trust Mental Health Curatorial Research Fellow @ CUNY’s Center for the Humanities. Previously a Mellon postdoctoral curatorial fellow at the Museum of the City of New York. Jacobs recently co-curated the exhibit “Germ City: Microbes and the Metropolis” at the Museum of the City of New York (Fall 2018). Before that she was a research fellow at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (2016-17), conducting more than 200 interviews and secondary research for “Downhill from Here: Retirement Insecurity in the Age of Inequality.” She also wrote a chapter for a forthcoming book on insecurity and elder poverty. Her dissertation was on the history and redevelopment of the Brooklyn waterfront, using the Navy Yard as a case study. To complete this work, she conducted oral history interviews.
